How to create smokey eyes :)

1. Apply a cream concealer over your eyelid to create a smooth base for your eyeshadow.
2. Use a pencil liner (black or gray looks best) to trace your top lashline from the inner corner to the outer. Then, use the same pencil to dot between your lower lashes. Smudge both lashlines with a cotton swab or an eyeliner brush.
3. Sweep powder shadow (brown, gray and dark green all work with black or gray liner) over your lid and into your crease, blending the color up and outward, says New York City makeup artist Morgen Schick DeMann.Marie Claire recommends: Morgen Stained Glass Eye Wash in Spruce; Shiseido The Makeup Eye Shadow Brush; Cover Girl Perfect Blend Pencil in Basic Black; Origins Full Story Lush-Lash Mascara in Black.
TIP: To prevent color from fading and give your lids a more shimmery finish, pat a cream shadow over the concealer on your lid first, wait five minutes, then top with a matching powder shadow.
4. Dust a lighter, neutral eyeshadow (such as ivory) over just your browbone.
5. Finish with two coats of black mascara.

1. Don't be a huge flirt!

Beautiful Girl

"Beauty, to me, is about being comfortable in your own skin. That, or a kick-ass red lipstick."
Gwyneth Paltrow

It's about that time! Time to kick out those bad beauty habits and start taking care of yourself and your skin!

1. Most importantly, STAY OUT OF THE SUN!
I can't stress enough just exactly what the sun does to your skin other than simply saying
it will age you ten times as fast!
2. TAKE IT EASY, ROCK STAR!
Partying is an essential to some, but drinking is always an option!
Alcohol is dehydrating so not only do you get the debilitating hangover, but your
skin will also be robbed of it's dewy glow.
3. BUTT IT OUT.
Smoking is just plain bad for you. But, what exactly does it do you ask?
Smoking constricts your blood vessels, depriving your skin of oxygen and
nutrients needed for cell renewal. It can make people look 10 to 20 years older
than those who do not smoke. Yuck!

"Nothing makes a woman more beautiful then the belief that she is beautiful!"
Sophia Loren

As a woman who loves to get dressed up but loves to be in sweats more than anything, I know I could always a use a few helpful hints on just what a girl must have at all times to make sure she is always in style :)

1. A SEXY DRESS YOU CAN PLAY UP OR TONE DOWN
Whether it's a trip to the opera or a 5 o clock date, it's always nice to have a
dress that's sexy, stylish, and most of all, requires NO ironing.
2. A PROFESSIONAL OUTFIT
Whatever your preference: A tailored outfit, or a nice dress, having a professional
outfit will help others know you're someone to be reckoned with.
3. COMFY BUT CHIC CASUAL DUDS
It's important to have fashionable but forgiving clothing, for those days
that you just absolutely don't feel like dressing up.

TOP FIVE EXCUSES FOR CALLING IN SICK

 1. Foodpoisoning.
Always works. It comes and goes quickly!
2. Stuck in airport.
Fairly good. Especially when the weather is bad.
3. My dog/kids are sick.
Somehow the dog elicits more sympathy than ill kids, but kids still works :)
4. A leaking ceiling or bathroom.
If not used often, totally possible.
5. Flu/Cold.
Pretty generic, but you muster up a sniffle.

Cures for the one, the only, HANGOVER!

Let's face it, a glass of wine, or a mixed drink, and maybe even a beer a time or two is good for the soul. But, what happens when we have just a bit too much to drink? Oh yea! That dreaded, awful, disgusting hangover! No one likes to feel like they need to lay in bed ALL day the day after drinking! So, I have done a little research on what exactly can help to cure hangovers. :)

  1. The night of, alternate drinks with a glass of water. Yes, this is totally easier said than done, but prevention is the best medicine.
  2. Keep vitamins and aspirin next to your nightstand so you can pop some before you go to bed.
  3. If you wake up feeling like you just got run over, steady yourself and head to a boozy brunch.
  4. Eat the greasiest dish possible.
  5. Eat two boiled eggs to help soak up the alcohol! ( I tried this one, and it did help :) )
  6. Sleep.

Dinner for 2!

Whether it's a first date or you've been together, it's always nice to make dinner for him! It's quite and romantic, and he has to do absolutely NOTHING! Guys always love that :) My advice to you now, is to choose a good "date" food. Italian is always a nice choice because it's so inherently romantic! I have included my favorite Italian recipe below that is a for sure hit!

CHICKEN SALTIMBOCCA OVER LINGUINE

Ingredients:
1 lb. linguine
Salt and black pepper (optional)
6 (3 ounce) chicken cutlets, pounded to evenly flatten
1 lb. prosciutto, sliced thin
Fresh sage leaves (can use a sprinkle of dried sage in a pinch)
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup chicken stock
1 tbsp. butter
Shredded Parmesan

Directions:
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add linguine and cook for four minutes. While pasta is boiling, flatten the chicken breasts with a mean pounder. If desired, sprinkle cutlets with salt and black pepper, but this is not necessary, as prosciutto is salty. Top cutlets with a sage leaf. Press one slice of the prosciutto atop each cutlet. Then dust lightly in flour. Set aside. In a skillet over medium-high heat add one cup of chicken stock and one tbsp. butter. Place cutlet in skillet and cook with prosciutto side down until golden brown, about four minutes per side; add chicken stock as needed and simmer 8-12 minutes. Remove chick from heat. Drain pasta and add to the chicken broth in skillet for two minutes. Saute some sage leaves while you assemble pasta and cutlet on a plate. Top with shredded Parmesan and crumbled sage leaves as garnish.
